Provide direct, operational Solaris support of large, enterprise-wide managed services customer’s environments in Colt’s datacentres:
– Develop and install cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex customer requirements and System Level Agreements.
– Provide technical assistance to internal teams external customers during environment outages.
– Execute weekly and monthly maintenance when required. Perform after-hours support as needed.
Must Have Skills:
– Must have some experience working in a customer facing or advisory / consulting capacity
– Background in creating scalable solutions for an enterprise level Solaris v10 hosting environment.
– Must be able to review, analyse and recommend opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of Unix/Linux systems.
– Experience working with Clustering and Virtualization.
– Skills must include LDoms, LDAP and Change Management. Skills in break fixing, troubleshooting and providing resolution for servers with performance issues. Background includes system monitoring and reporting solutions/tools. Root cause analysis skills. Ability to work well in a team.
Strong organizational and planning skills including the setting of priorities. Familiar with Windows and VMWare ESX Server.
ITIL.Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people
